From 2012–2019, Toyota recognized women leading the change on tough global issues at a yearly event called Mothers of Invention. These women impacted the lives of nearly 160 million people through their work on issues like homelessness, health care, disaster relief, education and renewable energy.
The year I worked on the event, we highlighted three new Mothers of Invention and showcased past winners. It featured 80″ digital screens and kiosks with interactive touchscreens, where people could learn more and donate. The New York Times also hosted a companion web site, using the same content.
